Growth estimate down

Given recent economic developments in Haiti and available data, the Department of Economic Studies and Forecasts of the Ministry of Economy and Finance is downgrading the country's economic growth for the next fiscal year to 1.7% (originally planned in the 2018-19 budget, at 3.9%). Football : North West Wins Presidential Cup

Friday on the lawn of St. Therese Park in Pétion-ville was held the championship football final of the Presidency Cup, North West vs. Upper Plateau. Under the rain fall half of the match, both teams ended in a draw at the end of regulation time [1-1]. Citizen Protection Encourages Reporting on Corruption

Citizen Protection (OPC) in conjunction with Canadian Lawyers Without Borders (CBSA) held a consultation workshop to advance the cause of human rights in Haiti. Also, in relation to the country's situation, the OPC encourages CBSA to denounce corruption, the lack of access to base services in certain public and private institutions and the non-respect of socio-economic rights.
