Haiti - Culture : 3rd edition of the Feminist Festival «Nègès Mawon» 22/09/2018 09:59:44
"Nègès Mawon" is a young feminist organization working in the fields of education, training and culture. The idea of this festival responds to the need to look at the cultural and artistic production with a feminist perspective, but also to experiment with a new way of understanding and renewing the issues of feminist militancy by using art in general, to try to revitalize the Haitian feminist movement, give it a new "leadership", a new image and involve new actresses and new actors. Activities at FOKAL : Tuesday, September 25, 5:00 pm : Women and Trades Series. Screening of the documentary film "Barakaden, the little maids of Bamako". A film by Adeline Gonin, Mali-France, 2015. Followed by a discussion led by Nègès Mawon From Wednesday, September 26th : Photo exhibition, with the Kolektif 2 Dimansyon Wednesday, September 26, 5:00 pm : Conference: "Fire of Public Markets: Feminization Factor of Poverty in Haiti" With Danièle Magloire, Ruthlande Borga and Katie-Flore FIls-Aimé. Jeudi 27 septembre, 5h00 p.m. : Conference: "Women's Place in the Haitian Economy" With Nathalie Lamaute-Brisson, Fodlyne Lou André, Marie Murielle Morné and Georgy Lundy. Friday, September 28, 6:00 pm : Spectacle : Rèv Boukannen.
