Haiti - Tourism : Towards cooperation with DR to promote multi-destination tourism 26/09/2018 09:44:39

Following their meeting, Minister Stephenson declared "We want to work together. The first thing to do is to advertise the two countries [...] we must work on the image of security, we have a tourist police (PoliTour) and we are working on the regionalization of tourism, north and south, even if we also want to sell the capital as a tourist attraction" believing that both countries could work together to promote the image of an attractive island for tourists. García Fernández announced that in November he would receive his Haitian counterpart, to continue the cooperation talks and that he will then go to Haiti for a visit of the sites accompanied by of entrepreneurs of the tourism sector.
