Haiti - Politic : Continuation of the mission of information with the diaspora

Sunday in New York, on the sidelines of the participation of the 73rd Ordinary Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Calvin Cadet the Director General of the Ministry of National Education, Martine Denis Chandler, Spokesperson of the President of the Republic, Special Adviser Jude Charles Faustin and Counselor Daniel Joseph continued their mission of communication and information with the Haitian diaspora https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-25553-haiti-nyc-discussions-on-the-role-of-the-diaspora-in-the-development-of-haiti.html

They conducted two important interviews on Radio Panik (Spring Valley) and Radio Tout Haiti (New York) during which they informed the compatriots of the diaspora on several topics of interest especially on the issue of the collection by the Haitian state of 1.50 dollar on all transfers entering or leaving the country under the National Fund for Education (FNE) initiated in 2011 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-3027-haiti-education-the-tax-on-money-transfers-comes-into-force-on-june-1-2011.html

They mainly highlighted the progress made possible thanks to these funds by the Ministry of National Education as part of the efforts to increase access to education as well as the improvement of the education system, notably through the appointment of more teachers in the public school system.

Other points of the news were discussed such as the record of the use of PetroCaribe funds, the fight against corruption and monitoring of the Caravan of Change.
