The Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities announced that it suspends from Wednesday, September 28, 2018, all the operations of reception of requests and delivery of passports via the Embassy of Haiti in Dominican Republic coming from the Haitian consulates on Dominican territory.

This precautionary measure responds to the alleged allegations of alleged irregularities in the allocation to the neighboring Republic of certain travel documents to persons lacking the legal status necessary to obtain them.

In these circumstances, the Ministry of the Interior will take within the limits of its powers, the necessary provisions so that light is made in the context of this case and will make every effort to conduct the necessary checks and correct this fact if necessary.
