Haiti - Politic : The Minister of the Interior condemns the violence against his Ministry

Jean-Marie Reynaldo Brunet Minister of the Interior and Territorial Communities (MICT) (renewed to his position in the new Céant Government) is surprised by the spontaneous unrest, initiated around his premises, on 25 and 26 September.

Stressing that "these protest movements, characterized in particular by burning barricades of tires and the sporadic occupation of the entrance to the Ministry's main car park by groups of individuals, are likely to create anxiety and confusion."

Minister Brunet "vehemently condemns all these actions independently of their motives" and takes the opportunity to stand out "from certain statements, at the origin of these disorders, which are based on misinformation"

Despite these deplorable events, the Minister emphasizes that the administration of his Ministry continues to function as usual.
