Haiti - Martinique : 415,000 euros for the extension of the park of solar streetlights in the Region of Palmes 29/09/2018 09:21:43 The signing of this agreement will thus allow the official launch of the extension and harmonization of the solar street lamp park in the communes of Gressier, Léogâne, Grand-Goâve and Petit-Goâve. The agreement also provides for the organization of training for the benefit of technicians from all the partner communes, in order to enable them to maintain the facilities. This agreement, amounting 415,000 Euros, is co-financed by AFD, CACEM, the Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME) and the Regional Cooperation Fund (FCR), the CMRP and the Territorial Collective of Martinique. The financial instrument mobilized by AFD for this project is the Financement des Collectivités françaises (FICOL). This financing mode, the first of its kind in Haiti, will serve as a basis for future files under investigation. Ambassador Gomez welcomed the signing of this convention, which illustrates France's commitment to sustainable development through the use of renewable energies. This project testifies, he said, "the desire to mobilize French expertise in the service of Haiti, particularly in the framework of enhanced regional cooperation."
