On Tuesday, Ambassador Sison met Jean Roudy Aly, the Minister of Justice, to discuss the American-Haitian bilateral partnership focused on strengthening the rule of law. Minister Aly praised the good cooperation between the two countries while underlining President Moïse's interest in issues related to land tenure security, prolonged pretrial detention and human trafficking.

This meeting, which took place in an atmosphere of reciprocal cordiality, allowed the two officials to identify areas for strengthening cooperation. It was agreed that technical meetings will follow to define the modalities for implementation of the decisions made during this meeting of nearly one hour.
