Haiti - FLASH : Earthquake of 5.9 in the North of Haiti

An earthquake of magnitude 5.9 on the Richter scale occurred at 8:11:50 this evening Saturday at 20 km West North-West of Port-de-Paix, the epicenter was located at 20.013°N 73.006°W at a depth of 15.3km, at sea, in the Turtle Canal.
The earthquake was also felt in Cap-Haitien, Quartier-Morin, Limonade in Trou-du-Nord, slightly in Port-au-Prince, Carrefour, and in the cities of northern Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
Some houses would have been damaged at La Tortue. At the moment there is no loss of life.
"Our teams from north to south are witnessing a start of panic in some cities," informs Civil Protection.
