Haiti - MUPANAH : Exhibition in memory of Jean-Jacques Dessalines

The Haitian National Pantheon Museum (MUPANAH) to remain faithful to its mission to perpetuate the memory of the Fathers of the Fatherland, pays tribute through an exhibition to this great man who is Jean Jacques Dessalines, the Father Founder of the State of Haiti, recalling :

"Haitian national hero, Jean-Jacques Dessalines distinguished himself by his revolutionary genius that made him the dominant figure of the gesture of 1804.

Chief General of the Indigenous Army, Dessalines knew with tact, ally the collaboration of Generals and Officers of his army to forge unity, essential factor of victory.

General in Chief then Governor General of the first independent black state of the New World and finally Emperor of Haiti, Jacques 1st, Jean Jacques Dessalines is inscribed in the anal history of humanity as the emancipator of the oppressed peoples.

Papa Dessalines bequeathed to prosperity:

The consciousness of freedom;

The meaning of human dignity;

The sense of respect for the common heritage;

The sense of unity and above all that of civic engagement.

212 years after his death (October 17, 1806) the Dessalinian ideal remains current."

The MUPANAH invites the public to come and visit this exhibition to greet and pay tribute to the memory of the Father Founder of our Fatherland.
