The Minister of the Diaspora in Miami

Minimum wage : Boulos proposes double indexing

Food aid from the French Embassy

In 2018 the Embassy of France has committed 700,000 Euros of food aid in Haiti in 3 areas of intervention:

  • Establishment in the South and in the Center of the country of an experimental supply system for fresh produce for school canteens in collaboration with the World Food Program (WFP);

  • Support through the purchase of local products, the National Program of School Canteens (PNCS) and canteens of the network of partner schools of the Embassy;

  • Support to small and vulnerable professional agricultural production organizations, in collaboration with NGOs such as the Research and Technology Exchange Group (GRET), an international NGO fighting against poverty and inequality and Agronomists and veterinarians without borders (AVSF).

Avocats Sans Frontières Canada supports the OPC

On Friday, the Office of Citizen Protection (OPC) was visited by Nicolas Demers Labrousse, Director of Avocats Sans Frontières Canada (CBSA) in Haiti. This visit was part of the preparations for the delivery of materials and equipment to the OPC aimed at strengthening the capacity of the institution.

Guide to Career Management and Judicial Assessment

To support the efforts of the Career and Evaluation Unit of the Directorate of Judicial Inspection of the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ), the Institutional Support Unit of the Minujusth and Justice Sector Strenghening Program have set up a team of CSPJ inspectors, a working group, to share their work on the development of a career path plan. After several weeks of work, the group retired last week to finalize a guide on career management and magistrate evaluation, for use by the Career and Evaluation Unit, to be submitted for validation by the CSPJ.
