Haiti - FLASH : Categorical denial of the Presidency

In a note, the Office of Communication of the Presidency provides "a formal denial of information circulating in the media and on social networks, making believe that the vehicle of a member of the presidential family was the victim of an armed attack.

The Office of Communication of the Presidency calls on all sectors of the population not to give in to disinformation practices that have become commonplace in the country in recent times."

While some information suggested an armed attack on Nazon Tuesday in the middle of the day, against the vehicle of Joverlein Moïse, the eldest son of the President, Avenida Joseph, one of the spokesmen of the presidency explained that there had confusion. She explained that the President's son's vehicle arrived at the scene, moments after an incident involving gunmen attempting to rob a woman returning from the bank. A version confirmed by Commissioner Michel Ange Louis Jeune, spokesman of the National Police of Haiti.
