Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, the Minister of National Education reminds in a circular to all educators, the formal prohibition made to anyone to open a public school and/or new classrooms, without the express permission of the central authorities.

It should be remembered that this decision, which concerns all levels of education, without exception for the third cycle of fundamental school, is one of the first provisions adopted by Minister Cadet since his installation in March 2017.

"Any derogation in this sense must be subject to an assessment of the needs and resources available and must be approved in advance by the Minister.

Consequently, any initiative contrary to these provisions is null and void and the responsible will be sanctioned.

The departmental directors of education must ensure the strict application of this measure."
