Haiti - Football : Our amputee Grenadiers qualified for the playoffs of the World 2022

Edwing Charles the Minister of Youth, Sports congratulates the players who made the two-colored Haitian float proudly in foreign land as part of the 2018 Football World Cup of Amputee, which took place in Guadalajara, Mexico on October 24 to November 5th.
Our valiant Grenadiers after 3 victories in a row: Spain [2-0] https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-25962-haiti-handifoot-world-cup-victory-of-haiti-[2-0]-against-spain.html , Ukraine [2-1] https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-25981-haiti-news-zapping.html and Angola [2-1] https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-25991-haiti-news-zapping.html , were defeated in the round of 16 by Poland [2-1] https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-26008-haiti-news-zapping.html dropping any hope of access to the podium and the title of champion.
Far from being demoralized, our Grenadiers played the second phase of the competition with brilliance, winning the victory against Italy [3-1] https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-26024-icihaiti-handifoot-our-amputee-grenadiers-dominate-italy-[3-1].html Argentina [3-2] and the Japan [2-1] https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-26034-haiti-news-zapping.html Ranked 5th our disabled Grenadiers are among the qualifying teams for the World 2022 playoffs to be held either in Poland or Costa Rica.
