The Directorate General of Migration (DGM) has informed that 12,300 Haitians were repatriated to Haiti in October 2018.

About fifty foreigners in an irregular situation from Colombia, Cuba, Spain, the United States, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and Vietnam were also deported to their country of origin.

The DGM report also indicates that at the land border, 21,725 entries and 17,586 exits had been recorded, mainly at the Jimaní border crossing, where the greatest flow had been reported, followed by Dajabón, Elías Piña and Pedernales.
