Thursday, November 29, Richard Bercy the President of the National Federation of Haitian Caisses Populaires (FECAPH - le Levier) and Mrs. Anna Lipchitz, Director of the French Development Agency (AFD) in Haiti, signed, in the presence of José Gomez, Ambassador of France Haiti, two financing agreements for a total amount of 2.5 million euros.

The first concerns an AFD loan of the equivalent of €2 million in Gourdes and the second a grant of €500,000 dedicated to strengthening the capacity of the financial institution.

This project aims, on the one hand, to strengthen Levier's credit unions and, on the other hand, to improve the resilience of the agricultural sector and certain sectors, particularly in the face of climate change. This support will enable FECAPH Le Levier to structure and sustain medium-term financing in the agricultural and agroforestry sectors.

Recall that "The Federation Le Levier" is a network of Cooperatives Savings and Credit (CEC) founded June 30, 2007 under the aegis of the law of June 2002 dealing with the operation of credit unions and federations of credit unions.
