Haiti - Cuba : Jovenel Moses met Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel

Arrival Monday, December 3 in Havana, the Cuban capital, for a two-day official visit, Jovenel Moïse before his meeting with the President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez paid tribute to the memorial Jose Martí, national hero of Cuban independence...

On Monday evening, at a meeting held at the Palace of the Revolution in Havana, the two Heads of State "reviewed the state of bilateral relations, stressing the importance of twenty years of uninterrupted cooperation" and committed themselves to strengthen them for the benefit of both peoples, according to an official statement issued by the Cuban government.

Diaz-Canel and Moïse also agreed to underligne the importance of existing collaborative agreements between the two countries. At present, 9 agreements are in force in the fields of agriculture, education, iron and steel and food industry. In addition to health, both countries have developed bilateral projects in areas such as : fisheries, water resources, construction and meteorology. In addition, more than 200 Haitians study university careers in Cuba, in the fields of medicine, pharmaceutical sciences, telecommunications, civil engineering, agronomy and medical technologies, in several provinces of the island.

This Tuesday Jovenel Moïse is expected to visit the solar photovoltaic power station installed in Expocuba exhibition center, located on the outskirts of Havana.
