Céant calls for a truce

Friday on the sidelines of the launch of the program Urbayiti https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-26411-haiti-politic-launch-of-urbayiti-a-42-billion-gourdes-program.html Prime Minister Jean-Henry Céant has launched a call to the truce to the opposition for the holiday season "I appeal to the patriotism of all, to surpass ourselves, so as to offer the population a climate of lull to allow him to approaching these feasts with more serenity [...] our divergences, whatever their motivations and legitimacy may be, have basically very little weight against the harsh reality of our collective dismay." The justice system threatened

Me Jules Cantave asks in a letter addressed to the Head of State to respect his promise made last November, deploring that in the draft budget 2018-2019 tabled in Parliament, only 1.5 billion gourdes were allocated to the judicial system, on the 10 billion requested. With such a small envelope, Cantave says that the entire functioning of the justice system is under threat.
