Fire at a police station

In the afternoon of Sunday, heavily armed individuals set fire to the police station of the Rue Monseigneur Guilloux extended Savane Pistache (Port-au-Prince).

Passing away of former General Williams Régala

On Sunday morning, former General Williams Regala (81) died at his residence in Port-au-Prince. General Regala had been a member of the National Council of Government which led the country after the fall of the Duvalier regime on 7 February 1986 was considered the right arm of General Henry Namphy.
