Haiti - Petit-Goâve : The Minister Angrand makes a gesture of appeasement under the threat
Following the claims and threats of blocking the National Road #2 on January 1, 2019, launched by Yves Placide, Spokesperson of the farmers of the first Plain of Petit-Goave, Joubert C. Angrand Minister of Agriculture seems to have heard the cry of the peasants by deciding to make a gesture of appeasement by granting farmers seeds and a lot of equipment and farm implements including: 2 dozen picks, 2 dozens of shovels, 3 dozens of serpettes, 1 pump, 1 corn mill and 10 bags of peas, according to the details reported by Yves Placide.

Placide, who congratulated the Minister of Agriculture for this gesture, which avoids another conflict in the country, explained that the peas will be distributed to the planters and the tools will be made freely available to those who need them to work soil. After use, these agricultural tools will be handed over to the leaders of the peasant organization to be put again at the service of the community, while waiting for other farmers to make the request.
