Haiti - Social : Death of the number 1 of the Brigade for the Fight Against Drug Trafficking
Sunday, December 30, the Divisional Inspector Charles Odelet (8th Promotion) Responsible for the Brigade for the Fight Against Drug Trafficking (BLTS) was the victim of a malaise and gave up, confirmed Michel-Ange Louis Jeune spokesperson of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) emphasizing that this unexpected death leaves a big void within the police institution.

This sudden death has aroused sympathetic reactions at the highest level :

President Jovenel Moïse :
"The BLTS leader, Mr. Charles Odelet, died suddenly. This disappearance is a huge loss for the Haitian National Police and the Nation. My condolences to the family of the deceased and the police institution."

Prime Minister Jean Henry Céant :
"It is with sadness that I learned of the death of Charles Odelet, the number one of the BLTS. Given the professionalism of the latter in the fight against the scourge of drugs, we measure the weight of this loss for Haiti in general. May the Nation be grateful to him."
