Haiti - Tennis : Brisbane tournament, Naomi Osaka eliminated in semifinal

After winning in 1/4 final of the Brisbane Tournament (Australia) in women's singles 3/6 6/0 6/4 against Latvian of Russian origin Anastasija Sevastova (11th in the world), the Haitian-Japanese Star (also from American nationality) of tennis (5th in the world), Naomi Osaka (21 years old) also Goodwill Ambassador for the promotion of the Haitian sport, which plays under the colors of Japan, was eliminated Saturday morning in the semifinal by the Ukrainian of 29-year-old Lesia Tsurenko (27th in the world) who won in two sets 6-2, 6-4.

A defeat that costs Naomi her second place in the lead, a place in the Brisbane international final and a progression to the third place in the world WTA (Women's Tennis Association).

At the end of the match Naomi Osaka said "If I'm really honest, I just feel like I had the worst attitude today [...]" She gave up two service games in the first set and paused early in the second set, she had chances to equalize but she made a series of mistakes while Tsurenko led 4-2.

However Naimoi confident, is convinced that this defeat will be beneficial to her affirming "I learned how to do to improve the situation."

For her next rendezvous, Naomi Osaka will play at the 107th Edition of the Australian Open, the 51st Open and the first Grand Slam of the year to be held in Melbourne Park from January 14 to 27, 2019.
