Sunday, the Mayor of Croix-des-Bouquets, Rony Colin kicked off pre-carnival activities in the Commune.

This year the parade was held on the macadam of Marin where from 7:00 pm, residents, cruciens from other localities and revelers from everywhere, have gathered at the Crossroads of Fougee, in Sibert, place of departure of the parade, to make the route by singing and dancing with the "DJ Dave" who provided the atmosphere from his Char, all the way from the main road of Marin, through the national road #1 to end in Bon Repos.

An important safety device and a medical staff accompanied by the ambulance of the Town Hall had been deployed all along the route. The safety of all was assured before, during and after, which allowed for this first Sunday to end with a positive human toll of zero deaths and zero wounded.

Mayor Rony Colin thanks the crucienne population in general and that of Marin in particular for their spirit of serenity and fraternity. The rendezvous is scheduled for Sunday, January 27th, the second pre-carnival day coinciding with Mayor Colin's birthday.
