The Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities (MICT) is shocked to learn of the attack perpetrated by unidentified armed individuals, against the car of the mayor of Carrefour, Jude Édouard Pierre https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-26755-icihaiti-security-attack-against-the-vehicle-of-the-mayor-of-carrefour.html

The MICT condemns this aggression that it considers intolerable, whatever the mobile and the targeted citizen and all the more, for targeting the first citizen of the commune of Carrefour, in the evening of 23 January.

In these circumstances, the MICT reiterates its full support to the Mayor of Carrefour, as well as to the National Federation of Haitian Mayors (FENAMH), whose Jude Edouard Pierre is also the president.

Finally, the Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities renews its confidence in the combined professionalism and determination conjugates of the police and the Haitian justice, to conduct an investigation to apprehend and punish the perpetrators of such dishonest acts.
