Haiti - Religion : XIIIth Binational Meeting in Port-au-Prince of Episcopal Conferences
The Conference of the Episcopate of Haiti (CEH) and the Conference of the Episcopate of the Dominican Republic (CED) will hold this year their XIII meeting from February 11 to 13 in Port-au-Prince.

At this meeting, the Bishops of the two Nations will exclusively address pastoral and / or ecclesiastical issues, including the work of their pastoral commissions for the respective migrants and will reflect on the challenges of youth ministry, vocation ministry and projects of the two episcopal conferences in these and other fields.

This meeting, which takes place every three years, in alternative places, will be directed for Haiti by Mgr. Launay Saturnè, Archbishop of Cap-Haïtien and President of the CEH and for the Dominican Republic by Mgr. Diómedes Espinal De León, Bishop of Mao-Montecristi and President of the CED.

Recall that the bishops of the seven border dioceses (Port-au-Prince, Jacmel, Hinche, Fort Liberté and San Juan Maguana, Mao-Montecristi and Barahona) in addition to this triennial meeting, also meet every year to analyze situations in the region and prepare common pastoral agendas.
