Haiti - Security : Appeal of the Observatory of the Youth for the protection of student

In a press release, the Observatory of Haitian Youth (OJH) says it is "astonished by the irresponsible silence of the Ministry of National Education which should call for the closure of classes in this situation of acute crisis, to ensure the protection of our students."

Faced with the mobilization and the violent demonstrations reigning across the 10 departments, the Observatory calls for the protection of our students and "asks students and parents of students in the 10 departments not to go to their schools and to the schools to keep their doors closed during the week of February 11 to 15, 2019. Dear fellow citizens, the climate of tension prevailing is unfavorable to the running of schools in complete peace."

Committed to the youth, the OJH renews its will for a fair and equitable Haiti.
