Haiti - NOTICE : Changes to the 2018-2019 School Calendar
Due to the loss of several days of class, caused by the violent socio-political demonstrations that paralyze part of the daily activities since February 7, the Ministry of National Education informs the general public and the educational community in particular, it was decided after consultation, to modify the school calendar 2018-2019 in order to recover the number of school days lost during the academic year 2018-2019...
The Ministry asks the Departmental Directors of Education (DDE), together with the inspectors and school directors, to take all the necessary steps for the full implementation of these changes.
The new modified calendar :
Control 3 : 18 to 22 March 2019;
Control 4 : 17 to 28 June 2019;
9th fundamental year exams : June 24-26, 2019;
Examinations of the teacher school (Ecoles normales d’instituteurs - ENI) : 24 to 28 June 2019;
Examinations of Family Education Centers : June 24 to 28, 2019;
Exit Examinations (end of secondary studies) : July 8th to 12th, 2019.
