62 deputuies adopted a resolution that includes 8 measures to help resolve the crisis in Haiti, a resolution that asks the Government :

1) To continue the dialogue with the living forces of the nation in accordance with the constitution and democratic principles;

2) to take all the necessary measures to restore order and public security with a view to enabling citizens to freely pursue their occupations;

3) Take all necessary measures to curb the depreciation of the Gourde against the dollar by fixing with the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) a cap not exceeding the exchange rate of 60 gourdes for one US dollar. In case of force majeure, any increase in the exchange rate above the fixed ceiling must be expressly authorized by the BRH.

4) To enforce the law on the price of petroleum products (petrol, diesel and kerosene) on the market;

5) To set, with the Superior Council of Wages (CSS), as soon as possible, a new minimum wage not inferior to 600 Gourdes and to take the necessary measures to increase the salary of the police officers in the national budget;

6) To take all necessary measures to reduce the price of agricultural inputs, including fertilizer, and to subsidize essential products for a period of 6 to 12 months, as soon as possible, until the revival of agricultural production. ;

7) To reduce by 30% the budget of the Chamber of Deputies in the National Budget and to allocate them to different sectors, such as agriculture, education, public health, etc...

8) To ensure that the Ministries of Economy and Finance, Justice and Public Security, Trade and Industry, Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development, as well as the Central Bank shall, each in its respective capacity, make the necessary arrangements to put this resolution into circulation.
