The Haitian Football Federation (FHF) has just published the calendar for the opening tournament of the 2019 season of the Haitian Professional Football Championship (CHFP).

Let's recall that it was planned and announced to start the competition the weekend of February 22 to 24 and the calendar should be communicated and unveiled at the football summit set for February 1 to 3.

However, because of the violent socio-political crisis that has crossed Haiti in recent weeks, the preparation of clubs has been disrupted and caused several postponements of dates on 10-12 February and 16-18 February...

According to the harmonized schedule of FIFA which sets the periods of national competitions from January 15 to June 15 and taking into account the constraints imposed by a season 2019 rich in international competitions (Gold Cup, League of Nations, Olympic qualifiers from the month of March) the FHF has decided to postpone the first day and start the competition directly by the second day on March 1st and 2nd.
