The Digicel Foundation enters the final phase of its 2nd edition of the "Konbit Pou Chanjman" competition launched in May 2018 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24455-haiti-digicel-foundation-launch-of-the-2nd-competition-konbit-pou-chanjman.html

It should be recalled that this competition aims to subsidize 15 local non-profit organizations, by offering them the possibility of submitting a funding application for a community project in one of the following categories: education, culture, education, inclusion, access, livelihoods, and disaster prevention.

More than 450 applications from across the country were received last August and 72 were selected for the second phase. Evaluation visits on the scope of the selected projects were carried out at the end of 2018 by members of the Foundation and its Board. This process, accompanied by detailed project analyzes, resulted in the selection of 25 projects for the final phase on 17 January 2019.

Selected organizations are invited to visit Port-au-Prince from February 26 to March 1 to visit projects already funded by the Foundation, to attend training sessions on communication, leadership, management and governance. non-profit organizations and present their projects to a specially constituted jury for the occasion.

Subsequently, these organizations will be invited once again to Port-au-Prince for the grand finale to be held next March where 15 winning projects will each receive a grant of 700,000 gourdes.

Once again, this shows the degree of significant involvement of the citizens of the different communities to positively transform their tomorrows. We warmly congratulate the organizations selected for the final and look forward to hearing from the winners in order to move to the funding stage for these projects, which will surely change the lives of many people," said Sophia Stransky, Executive Director of the Foundation.
