Value chains and job creations

This Wednesday, March 27 at the Caribe Convention Center (Room Cattleya 1:30 pm), the International Labor Organization (ILO) in Haiti will carry out an exchange workshop on the theme "Develop inclusive value chains for job creation". The objective of this workshop is to discuss the impact of different approaches of the ILO and to raise interest around the development of value chains in various fields (agriculture, textile...), considered as a vector for the socio-economic development.

South Agriculture : 21 million Euros

Tuesday at Camp-Perrin took place the ceremony of inauguration of the rehabilitation works of the Avezac perimeter as part of the SECAL project, in the presence of the French Ambassador, the Head of Delegation of the European Union and the Minister of Agriculture. This project, co-financed by the French Development Agency and the European Union for 20.96 million Euros, aims to strengthen the maize, beans and cabrit sectors in the South, while supporting the Southern Departmental Agricultural Directorate in project management.

Continuation of the vote on the Firearms Act

Tuesday in the Senate continued the vote on the proposed law (from Article 25 of Chapter VI to Article 36.1.) On the manufacture, marketing, possession, control, port and use of firearms in the territory of the Republic of Haiti.

Anse du Clerc : Installation of solar kits

A delegation from the Dr. Louis G. Lamothe Foundation visited Anse du Clerc (Dept. Grand'Anse) on March 21st and 22nd to install solar kits in the five houses recently rehabilitated by the concert with CARITAS.

Coffee : unanimous vote of the deputies

Tuesday in the lower house the bill amending the decree of 20 February 2003 on the creation of the National Coffee Institute and its strengthening in the direction of coffee were voted unanimously by the 79 Deputies present.

BSEIPH handed Grant Check

Tuesday, more than 50 people living with a disability, received financial assistance from the Office of the Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities. This assistance will enable beneficiaries to cover various expenses, including school fees and expenses to carry out income-generating activities.
