Haiti - FLASH : Earthquake of magnitude 3.8 near Petit Trou de Nippes 17/04/2019 06:42:47
The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) reports that an earthquake of magnitude 3.8 on the Richter scale, occurred Tuesday, April 16 at 7:46 and 36 seconds in the morning, according to data provided by the Autonomous University of Santo-Domingo.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located 13 km north of Petit Trou de Nippes, 51 km northwest of Miragoâne (Nippes Dept) and 126 km west of Port-au-Prince (West Dept) at a depth of 21 kilometers.
So far no damage has been reported in Haiti by local authorities or by the Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC).
