Haiti - Elections : Steven Benoît criticizes the BCEN
Steven Benoît, Senator of the Platform "Alternative" criticizes the dysfunctions in the mode of treatment of challenges at the National Bureau for Electoral Complaints and Challenges (BCEN).

He deplores the not respect by the electoral judges, of the convocation schedule... the candidates and their lawyers must often wait several hours without explanation or apology. He criticizes unsuitable premises, too small that does not allow to present their case in good condition. He regrets finally, the too short time allocated to the lawyers of the candidates "The lawyers have 10 minutes" while he considers that the time required should be at least an hour to develop arguments and present evidence. "I have never tolerated such things" asserts Senator Benoît, who judges that some correctives should be made in the future, perhaps in the electoral law in order not to repeat these unacceptable situations.
