Haiti - PetroCaribe : The CSC/CA will not be able to submit its audit report on the planned date

After the delivery of his partial audit report at the end of January on the use of PetroCaribe funds https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-26812-haiti-flash-the-court-of-auditors-delivers-its-first-report-on-the-management-of-petrocaribe-funds.html the Superior Court of Accounts and Administrative Disputes (CS/CCA) informs that it is unable to submit its second report on the date originally planned (April 30, 2019).

A delay that had already been mentioned at the end of February by Pierre Volmar Desmesyeux, the President of the Superior Court of Accounts, because of the troubles that had prevented the Court from functioning for 2 weeks.

This time in addition to delays related to the riots, the CSC/CA informed Senate Speaker Carl Cantave that the second audit report on projects that were not considered in the first report, will not be finalized in time due to cash flow issues related to the downward revision of the Court's draft budget for 2018-19 and the inadequacy of resources for an investigation of this magnitude.

As a result the CSC/CA informs that it should submit its report at the end of May with a month late if no further disruption comes to affect the continuation of its investigations.
