This important meeting was an opportunity for the two parties to discuss various points, including : the situation in Haiti, the growing insecurity, the absence of a Government, as well as the significant devaluation of the Gourde by compared to the US dollar (average acquisition rate of US for 92.22 Gourdes)
The members of the lower house bureau also discussed : governance, poverty, the economic crisis, gender equity, the electoral law, the budget and the upcoming expiration of the Haitian-Taiwanese agreement.
"The Lower House is not part of the problem, but rather of the solution", reminded those interlocutors the Deputy of Delmas Garry Bodeau explaining to the mission that the deputies try to sensitize their fellow senators on the need to endow the country a Government capable of providing solutions to the many evils that plague the country.
