Ti Hougan hands over his weapons

"Ti Hougan", gang leader of the Boston neighborhood, officially handed over a batch of 8 firearms to the National Commission of Disarmament, Dismantlement and Reinsertion (CNDDR). The ceremony took place on Tuesday in Immaculate Conception Square, in the presence of police and judicial authorities, as well as notables from the largest slum in the country.

Japanese Ambassador visits Barbancourt

On May 24th, Japan's Ambassador to Haiti, Mr. Mizuno paid a visit to the Barbancourt Distillery. He discovered the history of the Barbancourt Rhum Company's foundation, their manufacturing method and their corporate policy. The rums of Barbancourt are also appreciated in Japan where there are many connoisseurs of brandy.
