Haiti - Politic : New attempt to dialogue by President Moïse

In order to know their reading of the conjuncture and to try to find a solution to the political crisis which by its violent anti-governmental movements, affects or paralyzes since June 9, practically all the activities in the metropolitan area and some cities of province, including public services, President Jovenel Moïse intends to meet, on Monday 17 June at 10:00 am, at his private residence in Pélerin 5, representatives of the trade union, religious, academic, peasant and civil society sectors among others.

In the invitation sent signed by Nahomme Dorvil, the Chief of Staff of the Head of State, it is stated that during this hearing "[...] the President of the Republic would like to know their reading of the current situation and lead discussions that will help pave the way for the national dialogue advocated by all [...]"

Some sectors have rejected the invitation of the Head of State as René Monplaisir, leader of the Haitian People's Sector, who justified his refusal to the Head of State explaining in his letter "[...] we regret to announce you that we will not be able to attend this hearing. Indeed, we find that the representatives of the Democratic and Popular Sector, Fanmi Lavalas, Pitit Dessalines, the 4 senators and opposition members, the forces of the nation are absent [...]" Other sectors have confirmed their presence, some subject to insecurity.

However, at the National Palace it is impossible to have confirmation of the sectors that accepted and those who refused to surrender at the invitation of the Head of State.
