Haiti - Security : A police inspector murdered in a police station

On Saturday two unidentified individuals entered the compound of the Bassin Bleu police station and fired several shots at police inspector Johnny Bisreth, mortally wounded him before leaving the premises on a motorbike without being disturbed by the two other police officers who were in the dormitory at the time of the aggression...

Rushed to Gros-Morne, Johnny Bisreth, after receiving first aid from Cuban doctors, was transferred to Gonaïves Providence Hospital to undergo surgery to extract three bullets. However, in the comas, the inspector did not survive the seriousness of his injuries and died late Sunday morning in the presence of his wife and children.

Also on Monday, Dusfresne René, the Chief Police Commissioner of Marchand Dessalines was the victim of an armed attack while he was driving his vehicle in front of the entrance of his private house located on Christophe Street

Individuals riddled his car with bullets and the police officer who, in the face of the suddenness of the attack, only thought of protecting himself and could not identify the attackers. Commissioner Dusfresne René came out miraculously unscathed from this attack, only slightly injured by splinters of windows of his vehicles that shattered under the bullets.
