The Haiti International Youth Chamber (JCI Haiti), in collaboration with its various partners, announces the organization of its 8th edition of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) competition and the opening of candidacies.

This JCI-Haiti competition aims to put the spotlight on and elevate to the rank of models 10 young Haitians between the ages of 18 and 40 who have achieved extraordinary achievements in one of the following categories :

List of 10 categories :

Achievements in Business, Economics, and / or Business;

Political, legal, and / or governmental affairs;

Leadership and / or academic achievement;

Cultural realization;

Moral and / or environmental leadership;

Contribution to children's rights, world peace, and / or human rights;

Humanitarian and / or voluntary leadership;

Scientific and / or technological development;

Personal development and / or personal achievement;

Medical innovation.

The 10 laureates will be selected from all applications received, regardless of the initial category. The laureate will have the opportunity to represent Haiti in the TOYP World Contest next year at the JCI World Congress, which brings together organizations from over 110 different countries.

Candidcies Rules :

• Candidates must be between 18 and 40 years old throughout the process (until December 2019);

• Candidates must be Haitian citizens;

• Each candidate must compete in one of the 10 categories listed on this form. Please note that candidates can only apply for one category ;

• Candidates must be ready to promote JCI ideals for the year 2020 after receiving the award, and they will be part of the JCI Haiti TOYP Club.
