On Saturday around 10:45am on the national road #2 near the Grand-Goâve Public Market, a public transport bus "Dieu Qui Donne" registered TP-O5731 from Jérémie, violently struck a truck registered TP-10306, which under the power of the shock hit several people on public roads. Summary of the accident 16 victims including 5 dead and 11 wounded, including 3 were transferred to Port-au-Prince.

According to preliminary information, it appears that the driver of the Public Transit Bus lost control of his vehicle after the brakes stopped working.
