The Ministry of Education urges parents to file a complaint
Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, the Minister of National Education in front of the trend of schools to increase the costs of the school year said "You must refuse to pay fees to schools in order to reserve a place for your child. In case a school raises school fees no matter how, you must file a complaint." Paul Éronce Villard, the Government Commissioner of Port-au-Prince, said he had already received more than a hundred complaints in one week and asked the institutions concerned to consult and comply with the law on school fees.
