Haiti - FLASH Diaspora : Campaign of deportation Donald Trump worries the Haitians

Since the Donald Trump administration launched Sunday, July 14, the deportation campaign of illegal immigrants living illegally on the American territory or under eviction mandate, in 9 big American cities including Miami (Florida), the Haitians of Little Haiti scared and more or less well informed, are more rare on the sidewalks and in the streets. Fearing immigration officials, many Haitians stay at home according to Miami Family Action Network Movement observers deployed in the field in several Miami neighborhoods.

Given this tense situation, the Consulate of the Republic of Haiti in Orlando, in a note dated July 17, informs the Haitian Community of Orlando and Central Florida, that "the phone line 407-912-9152 has been established for Haitian nationals for any communication in an emergency situation justifying the assistance of the Consulate.

The Consular Post advises Haitian citizens in the event of arrest to ask the detention centers to inform the Consulate at the following e-mail address : cons.orlando@diplomatie.ht

Moreover, it is strongly advised to Haitian nationals not to forget at home their valid identity document during the outings and displacement even of less importance."
