Following the resignation of the acting Prime Minister named Jean-Michel Lapin, President Jovenel Moïse after consultation with the Presidents of the two Chambers appointed by Presidential decree on July 22, 2019, Fritz William Michel as new Prime Minister (the 4th under the Government Moïse), waiting to know what fate the forces of Parliament reserve him, the appointment of his cabinet, the presentation of his General Policy and his possible ratification...

Order :

"In view of the Constitution, in particular Articles 133, 136, 137, 155, 157, 160 and 163 of the Constitution:

Considering the resignation of the appointed Prime Minister, Mr. Jean Michel Lapin;

Considering that it is necessary to appoint the Prime Minister;

ORDERED

Article 1.- Citizen Fritz William Michel is appointed Prime Minister.

Article 2.- An extension of this order will be given to the interested party.

Article 3.- This order will be printed, published and executed for legal purposes.

Alumnus of College Catts Pressoir, the Prime Minister appointed, Fritz William Michel (38 years) was until September 2018, Chief of Staff of the Minister of Economy and Finance, a ministry where he held various positions: Technician at the Directorate of Studies and Budget Programming, Chief Accountant at the Directorate General of the Budget and Administrative and Financial Director at the Inspectorate General of Finance. From December 2011 to July 2012, he was Administrative and Financial Director at the Ministry of Agriculture. Fritz William Michel is unknown to the political class. He speaks Creole, French and English and is married with one child.
