Haiti - Politic : The business, labor and popular sectors propose a joint framework for a way out of the crisis

On Monday, the private sector economic forum, the trade union sector and the popular sector presented a joint document considered as a summary all the proposals for the end of the crisis entitled "Exchange framework for a way out of the crisis". The stakeholders consider that this is a first step in a dynamic of exchange and proposals initiated by the signatories who want with this document lead to a thoughtful but sustainable solution.

In this document, the speakers coming from different and sometimes opposite horizons fix their position on a way out of crisis around 4 axes of intervention.

1 - Economy axis, public finances and taxation:

2 - Political axis

3 - Justice and Public Safety Axis

4 - Social axis

If, for the union and popular sectors, a transitional government can not see the day with Jovenel Moïse as President of Haiti, the economic sector of business is much more cautious about the resignation of the Head of State, considering that there is not enough critical mass to support this option.

Frantz Bernard Craan, coordinator of the Private Sector Economic Forum, is convinced that we should not rush into the process stressing that although this is a joint document, there is not paradoxically no real consensus between the signatory parties.
