PetroCaribe : all the auditions postponed

Ramoncite Accimé, the investigating judge in charge of the investigation into the use of PetroCaribe funds, has so far failed to interview any former government official. Former Prime Ministers Jean Max Bellerive and Laurent Lamothe as well as ex-ministers Marie Carmelle and Wilson Laleau, all solicited and obtained through their lawyers a postponement of hearing due to unavailability on the dates of convocation.

XVIII Pan American Games : Taekwondo Haiti eliminated

Yesterday, as part of the XVIII Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, Haitian Taekwondo player Anya Necol Louissaint (23) competed against Brazilian Rayane Fidelis Perreira, gold medalist last year at the Pan American Taekwondo Championships (to USA).

Ranked 7th at the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil, Aniya did not show at her best on Monday and was eliminated in the first round with only 3 points against 18 for his opponent [0-6; 0-7; 3-5; 0-0] and without any possibility of repechage. Premature elimination marks the end of Haiti's participation in Taekwondo
