Sunday around 2 am, a public transport vehicle overturned for an unknown reason down Duchity Morne, in the locality of Fon Dewon (Grand'Anse).

The toll is heavy at least 31 victims including twenty wounded who were rushed to the nearest hospital while 11 people died on the scene.

Information confirmed by Garnel Michel Coordinator of the Haitian Organization Technical and Operational Services to Stop Acident (STOP-Accidents).

On the same day, at Delmas 60, a truck (TM 09718) carrying sand, whose brakes seem to have failed, struck and knocked over an electric pole, damaged the walls of several houses before overturning, causing at least two deaths and a serious wounded person. The driver of the truck would have fled.
