This week, the union of employees of the National Office of Old Age Insurance (SE-ONA) in front of more than 500 people, including leaders of Trade Unions, including the Confederation of Haitian Workers (CTH), the Electricity of Haiti (EDH), Office of Accident Insurance for Work, Sickness and Maternity (OFATMA), the National Port Authority (APN), central directors and various executives and staff members ONA, elected and installed a new 9-member Steering Committee.

Two cartels were in contention for the control of the SE-ONA, during these elections organized in the greatest transparency it was the Cartel "L'UNITÉ" which won the elections against the Cartel "La PAIX".

Exane Coffy, the Secretary General acting as spokesperson for the new Steering Committee, presented to the audience the main lines of action of his team and its ambitious program stating that "the union is not a blocking institution nor a political organization; it is rather a working tool for the happiness of the employees in agreement with the General Management."

Valérie Pédestre: Conflict Secretary;

Ilmond Saintil: Delegate.
