Haiti - Politic : The radical opposition announces a day of national mobilization

Wednesday, for the 3rd day, all the activities of the Capital and the big cities of provinces were again paralyzed.

Stone throwing at motorists and acts of racketeering of traders have been reported, as well as the usual spate of police clashes and vandalism of public and private property.

DINEPA running out of fuel fears the consequences of this shortage, because of the stop of the pumping stations...

At the end of the day, Eddy Jackson Alexis, the Secretary of State for Communications, called on protesters to unblock the roads to allow the tankers to supply the fuel stations with fuel.

While for 3 days the economy of the country already in bad shape is completely paralyzed by social movements related to shortage of fuel, political organizations of the radical opposition including: "Pitit Dessalin", the movement known as "Democratic and Popular Secto", "Haiti in Action" intends to take advantage of the popular mobilization and appeal for a major anti-government demonstration on Friday, September 20th.

According to the radical opposition, this national mobilization aims to denounce extreme poverty, corruption, insecurity and demand the resignation of President Jovenel Moïse so according to these organizations to install a "Transitional Government" and "try the guilty of diversions PetroCaribe fund"...

A call that comes while service stations begin to be gradually fueled and that businesses are struggling to recover and resume timidly their economic activities ...
