Haiti - Social : Rush of consumers on service stations...
With the arrival on Tuesday of a tanker at the terminal of Thor with on board 146,000 barrels of gasoline and Wednesday of a second with 155,000 barrels of diesel, some service stations of the metropolitan area, replenished Thursday, have to start selling again fuel, assailed by a rush of consumers eager to refuel (or illegal reserves)...

As all the stations are not yet supplied, the risk of out of stock is quickly to be feared in some stations, as well as the anger of the consumers.

Supply is proving difficult and slow, motorcycle taxis do not hesitate to pursue tanker trucks to be sure of obtaining valuable fuel and some access roads remain impractical or dangerous for tankers because of fires on the road...

It should be noted that the quantity of fuel arrived should allow the supply to be maintained until the end of October (the normal monthly consumption being around 2 million gallons) as far as fearful consumers and despite the ban do not nmakes reserves…
