Senator Jean Marie Ralph Féthière condemns the incident that occurred Monday morning in Parliament when he came to fulfill his parliamentary duty by participating in the ratification meeting of the Prime Minister named Fritz William Michel

In a press note he blames "[...] the criminal intent of some armed individuals who have not hesitated to open the door of his vehicle to physically assault him" emphasizing that "bullet holes on his car were duly certified by an officer of justice."

Senator Féthière renews his faith "in a society based on democracy" and says he is "very concerned by the immediate problems facing his representatives from the North and the whole country and is committed to the establishment of a government credible mindful of the urgencies of the hour."

Regarding the fact that he took out his gun and fired at the demonstrators who assaulted him, slightly wounding 2 people, Fethière said yesterday Monday "I defended myself.
